Sungura ace Alick Macheso has dismissed rumour that he and former second wife Fortunate “Tafadzwa” Mapako have kissed and made up. The two broke up bitterly as each party made acrimonious allegations against the other.

Mapako accused Macheso of traditional practices that are tantamount to child abuse. The two children from the union were subjected to paternity tests after Macheso voiced legal concerns as to their parentage.

For the past few days rumours have been circulating in the music circles that the musician was on the verge of taking back Mapako.

The Herald Entertainment understands that Mapako has begun showing up at the musician’s Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex offices, triggering the inference that the two could have mended relations.

“She comes at Aquatic Complex and last week they were together at the musician’s offices,” the source alleged.

Contacted for comment the “Tafadzwa” singer reiterated that he would never take back Mapako.

“Ndinoita mararo chete kana ndakarara kwete zvandinenge ndataura,” said the musician.

He claimed that he had learnt his lesson the hard way and he was never going to cheat on his wife Nyadzisai again.

“If that happens the public will know because I am not good at cheating, even my family knows that,” he said.

He said since the day they left the court after the divorce, he has never communicated with Mapako.

He dismissed the allegations as mere mischief.

“I am actually surprised because I last saw her at the courts and my managers handle the maintenance payments,” he said.

The Orchestra Mberikwazvo leader said he has not seen his children since then because of his tight schedule.
