SUNGURA superstar, Alick Macheso, will headline the Hippo Valley Estates Limited 70th anniversary celebrations.

The company will celebrate seven decades of operations, growth and influence in Zimbabwe’s agricultural and industrial landscape.

The launch ceremony brought together company executives, members of the media and representatives of Orchestra Mberikwazvo.

It set the tone for a series of commemorative events leading up to the main gala.

As part of the celebrations, the company has partnered Macheso, who is expected to headline the anniversary gala scheduled for May 30 at Chishamiso Stadium in Chiredzi.

“We were equally excited to partner with one of Zimbabwe’s most celebrated musical icons, Alick Macheso,” said Hippo Valley Estates corporate communications manager, Anne Nyakunu.

“His music has transcended generations and continues to unite people across the country and beyond.

“As Hippo Valley Estates celebrate 70 years of heritage and excellence, we believe it is fitting to work with an artist whose contribution to Zimbabwean culture and entertainment reflects the same spirit of endurance, relevance and national pride.”

She added: “Journalists and media houses remained invaluable partners in documenting our story, sharing our milestones and helping us engage meaningfully with the communities we serve.

“Your role in shaping public narratives and preserving corporate and national history could not be overstated.”

Corporate and Industry Affairs Head, Dr Dahlia Garwe, said the celebrations represent a blend of corporate history, culture and community values.

“This partnership represents the fusion of corporate heritage, culture, music and community values that are deeply important to us as an organisation.”
