Sungura music legend Alick Macheso is set to lead an impressive line up of local artists at the SAMA Festival in Leicester, England, on April 19-20.

Organized by Y2K Entertainment Promotions, the festival promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music, culture, and energy.

Joining Macheso on stage will be a diverse range of artists, including Mambo Dhuterere, Selmor Mtukudzi, Voltz JT, Silent Killer, Blot, Nisha T, DJ Sab, and Fatha Ansy.

All artists will perform on the first day, while Silent Killer, Nisha T, Blot, and Voltz JT will take the stage on the final day. Macheso, known for his electrifying performances, has promised his UK fans another memorable show.

In a Facebook post, Macheso wrote, “Ayaayaa Ayaayaaa, umm zvatanga zvinhu zviye, chishuwo chiye chaakuzopera, haa nguva yange yareba mufungeee hezvookoo. We are on our way to the UK to the fans, we say be ready for the best.”

Meanwhile, local hip-hop sensation Takura has been teasing his fans with snippets of his upcoming singles on social media.

The samples, ranging from 15-second to 1-minute clips, have been making waves on TikTok and Instagram Reels, with many fans praising Takura’s creativity and talent.

In an interview with H-Metro, Takura revealed that he is intentionally holding back the full tracks to build anticipation and create a buzz around his upcoming releases.

“I want my fans to be excited about my music, and I believe that by teasing them with samples, I can create a sense of urgency and anticipation,” he said.

However, the lack of a full release has left followers begging for more.

“I’ve been listening to the same 15-second clip for days, and I’m dying to hear the rest of the song. Takura, please release the music,” said one fan. Another fan exclaimed, “Touya kumba kwako kuzoba drive rine masongs here? Nekuti I am smelling good music apa. Mukuru makunonoka nemaBanger edu.” (H Metro)
