Macheso’s sons navigating new terrain

Entertainment Reporter

ALICK Macheso’s two sons Esau and Tatenda are navigating new terrain as they are now holding shows on their own.

The pair spent a few years as Orchestra Mberikwazvo supporting acts.

They would feature mainly during family shows.

Macheso seems to have found a way of helping the duo to transform into their own men.

Tomorrow, the pair plays at the Leisure Centre in Ruwa.

The two brothers will share the stage with Suluman Chimbetu.

“Macheso has always wanted his sons to succeed in music and he still monitors them.

“He doesn’t give them pressure as he supports them.

“Macheso has always wanted them to experiment with music since he is not a strict father,” said a senior member of the Orchestra Mberikwazvo.

Sulu said he wishes the duo the best.

“It’s a good feeling sharing the stage with sons of a legend like Macheso.

“He is a father figure to me and in this case we are all sons of legends.

“I will share the stage with them in Ruwa and I wish I had included them for the Epworth show on Friday.

“I’m happy that they are doing solo acts with their father’s blessings,” he said.
