AFTER successfully hosting a boxing tournament which saw amateur boxers exchanging punches on the ring at Palace Hotel, another match is scheduled to be held on 5 October as Tshibilika musicians Madlela Sikhobokhobo and Mxolisi Mr Bones are set to clash.

Theirs is an exchange of heavy punch-lines as they are expected to deliver massive hooks on the microphone as they belt out their hits.

The Bulawayo music scene is set for a spicy showdown as the Tshibilika heavyweights prepare to go toe-to-toe in a clash of punchy lyrics and stage antics.

Madlela Sikhobokhobo, known for his explosive energy and signature hooks, said he’s ready to light up the stage and deliver an “undiluted Madlela special performance.” “Mr Bones is the heavyweight of Tshibilika right now. His hit Faka 2 Phezu kweBhodlela became an anthem and was crowned song of the year. He is a very tough guy, but I’ve rehearsed my punches and I’m ready to go all out. My fans know what I can do, and they are in for a show,” he said.

The ever-charismatic Mr Bones is equally hyped for the clash. “I’m excited to return to Bulawayo after some time away. Sharing the stage with Madlela is going to be fun. He’s a great artiste and a force to reckon with, but I warn him not to underestimate me. One well-placed verse and I can knock him out with Faka 2,” he said with a wink.

Fans can expect a showdown of epic proportions as both artistes promise a mix of high-energy performances, lyrical fireworks, and perhaps a few friendly jabs in between. The stage will become the ring, but instead of gloves, they will wield microphones, and instead of punches, they will land hooks of hard-hitting music.

Palace Hotel is preparing for a night of full-throttle entertainment. With both Madlela and Mr Bones bringing their A-game, the clash is expected to draw crowds from across the city, eager to witness the verbal sparring and electrifying stage presence that defines Tshibilika music.

Music lovers are already marking their calendars. Whether you’re Team Madlela or Team Mr Bones, the 5 October gig is shaping up to be a knockout night. Expect fireworks, beats that hit harder than any boxing glove, and a display of talent that proves why Tshibilika continues to dominate the local music scene.

For Bulawayo fans, it’s not just a performance; it’s a showdown, a battle of wit, rhythm, and stage charisma. May the best lyricist win.
