Madziwa FM officially launched

Minister of Information Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Dr Jenfan Muswere, and Minister of Information Communication Technology, Postal and Courier Services, Dr Tatenda Mevetere, have officially launched Madziwa FM in Madziwa, Mashonaland Central.


Madziwa FM is one of the 14 community radio stations licensed by the Government in 2021.

 

The launch comes as the country commemorates this year’s International Day of Universal Access to Information.

The International Day for Universal Access to Information was proclaimed on October 15, 2019 at the 74th UN General Assembly to be held on September 28.

Initially, the day was designated by the UNESCO General Conference. It was inaugurated in November 2015 and was first held on September 28, 2016.
