Zimbabwe’s powerlifter, Chido Maenzaniso scooped a gold medal in the Open category in South Africa over the weekend.

Chido, who is also Africa’s strongwoman, competed against 86 other athletes from seven African countries.

The event was dubbed Eastrand Strongman.

“I feel honoured after scooping the gold. It’s a tough journey because one has to train, and the demands need more money.

“I am excited that I am improving by each day,” she said.

THE Zimbabwe Olympic Committee joined the triathlon community on Sunday to congratulate Andie Kuipers for winning GOLD in Under-23 Women’s category at 2025 Africa Triathlon Championships!
“Points earned catapult her up Triathlon World Ranking,” said ZOC.
