The resignation came after a decision by the parastatal to move him to Mashonaland Central along with other managers in a reshuffle ostensibly aimed at improving efficiency at its depots countrywide. Cde Mafa said he would not have served the party effectively and paid attention to his farming operations while stationed in Mashonaland Central.
“Something was bound to suffer had I moved to Mash Central and a decision had to be made on my part to resign. Moving would have meant so much commuting and travelling which divided my attention and time,” he said.
