Gospel musicians Sabastian Magacha, Mudiwa Mutandwa as well as United States-based Nigerian Sister I-Jay Ohizu are billed to perform at the dedication ceremony this Saturday in Graniteside, Harare. The gig organised by the Redeemed House of God church is aimed at marking the opening of the Empowerment Centre from where the church members fellowship.
Guest speakers include hosts pastors Nick and Eunicah Ohizu, Bishop Tudor Bismark of New Life Covenant Church and Dr Tunde Bakare of Latter Rain Assembly from Lagos, Nigeria.
Vice President Joice Mujuru and Minister Walter Mzembi will be the special guests at the event.
Sister I-Jay Ohizu is the elder sister to pastor Nick Ohizu and started singing in the ministry in her formative years as an ardent member of the Choral Society. As the president of the Charismatic Christian Campus Fellowship, she ministers in the Word of God, praise and worship.
She has served in various church choirs including Church of God Mission, Intl Nigeria, Bethel Ministries Intl Lagos Nigeria, under the directorship of Pastor Kingsley Ikeh.
She has also served as a choir leader in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Olive Parish and Ark of God Parish, Port Harcourt Nigeria.
An avid worshipper and a gifted song writer, Sister I-Jay by prophetic injunction released her first album “Church Service” in October 2012. An anointing filled praise and worship for the churches.
She ministers and teaches at World Prayer Ministry, Houston, Texas, under the leadership of Pastor Joshua and Jane Amzat.
Sabastian is a favourite of many gospel lovers. The youthful singer has touched the hearts of many with his well-thought-out songs, some which are verses from the Holy Bible.
Mudiwa aka Mudiwa Hood released a single titled “10 Over 10” which he said was a tribute to God. The catchy dance tune tells the testimony of his life and was produced by Cyril Tsiga aka Kindahquet, who also featured on the track.
He said the song has a chorus with a Nigerian touch of the popular hit, “My God is Good”.
An accompanying video for “10 Over 10” is out and added value to his growing status as one of the principal lights in gospel hip- hop in Zimbabwe. The video was produced by Blessing Mugove Gatsi.
Mudiwa said “10 over 10” is a sermon of how God Almighty can elevate and upgrade an individual from zero to hero in Christ in a short space of time.
He said he is a living testimony of the grace and love of God thus why he is paying tribute to God.
