HARARE based player agent Gibson Mahachi says negotiations between Chicken Inn and South Africaas Kaizer Chiefs on the Gamecocks duo of Mitchell Katsvairo and Edmore Chirambadare have reached fever pitch.
Mahachi said Kaizer Chiefs are still in the hunt to snap up Zimbabwean forwards whose profiles have continued to grow on the local scene.
Katsvairo was on Tuesday named in the Warriors squad to play at the COSAFA Castle Cup next month while Chirambadare donned the national colours during the 2016 Chan tournament that was staged in Rwanda.
a?Negotiations are now at an advanced stage with regards to the two players. I can confirm that Kaizer Chiefs are still interested in the two players and exchanges are taking place. We are 90 percent there and itas all looking positive,a? said Mahachi who is playing the role of middleman between Chicken Inn and the Absa Premiership giants.
Both players put upA impressive shifts during the time they spent on trials at Naturena, and were on target in friendly matches they were used.
However, with Amakhosi stretching their wings as far as West Africa, Mzansi KickoffA reported on Wednesday that Chiefs appear to be undecided onA international players they want to sign this winter.
For now word from across the Limpopo River is that the deal to bring in Katsvairo and Chirambadare is still hanging in the balance, with Chiefs yet to make a final call despite progressive talks.
Both players are keen to make the move to South AfricaA with AmaZulu also mentioned as a potential for one of the two players should the Chiefs option fail.
