GOSPEL musician and worship leader, Michael Mahendere, has expressed gratitude to fellow gospel ministers, guest artists and worshippers who helped make this year’s Jesus Worship Music Festival (JWMF) a grand celebration of praise.

He has described the event as a powerful display of Zimbabwe’s rich worship culture.

Speaking after the festival, Mahendere said the success of JWMF was made possible by the artists and thousands of believers who came together with one purpose of glorifying God.

“Behind every unforgettable moment is an incredible community. Thank you for your love, your encouragement and for believing in the vision.

“JWMF is stronger because of you. It was an amazing experience interacting with you,” said Mahendere. He reserved special praise for singer Gemma Griffiths, whose worship performance stood out during the festival.

“Let’s talk about the immaculate ministration that our sister Gemma Griffiths gave us at JWMF.

“You are a testament to the unique gifts from God that our nation embodies,” he said.

Mahendere also praised United Kingdom-based gospel singer Eleana Makombe for her uplifting ministry. “If there’s one thing sister Eleana Makombe will do, it is sing the goodness of being grateful. “Thank you for leading through this part of the Highest Praise.

“My brother, Pastor Misheck Mahendere, you are a force. Thank you for your incredible moment in the Highest Praise.  “When the greats in the industry grace you, then you know the festival is going to be an honourable one. “What shall we say except thank you to our elders, Charles Charamba and Olivia Charamba. Our love for you is unending,” Mahendere said. Mahendere described the gathering as a true celebration of worship.

“It is surely a gathering of God’s praise and worshippers. Dear Lord Jesus, we are eternally grateful,” he said. One of the festival’s highlights was the energetic Praise Relay segment, which featured several gospel ministers sharing the stage in continuous worship. Mahendere likened the teamwork displayed by the performers to a championship-winning sports team. “Just a quick reflection of what our afternoon was like. The Praise Relay! If this was an Olympian team, it would surely take the gold.

“Thank you, ministers of God,” he said, acknowledging renowned worship leader Sir Benjamin Rupare among those who participated.

This year’s JWMF attracted some of Zimbabwe’s biggest names in gospel music alongside emerging worship leaders, creating an atmosphere filled with praise, thanksgiving and unity.

Worshippers sang, danced and prayed as different ministers took turns leading songs throughout the day.

The festival continues to cement its place as one of Zimbabwe’s leading gospel gatherings, bringing together established and upcoming artists on one platform while encouraging believers through music and worship.
