GOSPEL musician, Tapiwa Masara, who is under the mentorship of Michael Mahendere, has vowed to restore hope in Christ among the youths who follow his music.

Speaking to H-Metro, the 39-year-old artist said he was working towards being a gospel artist who makes a huge impact among the youthful generation of music fans.

“I have been doing music for the past nine years and, as a gospel artist, we somehow lack sponsorship.

“For me, and even my brothers in music, we are pushing our music on our own we’re lacking promoters. “It is also a wonder why our music gets to be played on Sundays only,.

“It is rare to hear a gospel song being played on radio during the week unless it is on one of the request shows.

“If we could get our songs played during the week it will also motivate us.

“My source of inspiration is one of the all-time living legends and my mentor in music is Minister Michael Mahendere.

“I’m also inspired by the UFIC Choir.”

Masara is currently working on a new Aabum with his team and it will be launched in the form of live recording in October.

He recently released “Jesu Anoda Vanhu Vake” and “Mupinduri Wemubvunzo” which he performed with UFIC Choir.
