Maid rapes boy, 2

AN 18-year-old Gweru maid forced her employer’s two-year-old son to have sex with her, a court heard yesterday. Beatrice Sibanda appeared before Regional Magistrate Morgan Nemadire facing charges of aggravated indecent assault.

She pleaded guilty and was remanded in custody to June 22 for sentence.

The boy’s mother told the court that she did not want Sibanda at her house anymore but begged the magistrate to spare her the agony of jail.

“I plead with the court to spare her a jail sentence as she has to take care of her grandmother in Gokwe but I don’t want her in my house anymore. Her presence is affecting my son,” she said.

Nemadire remanded Sibanda in custody as she has no place to stay.

“Since you’re of no fixed abode, I’m remanding you in custody until June 22 for your sentence,” said Nemadire.

In her defence, Sibanda said she was sorry for what she did and asked for sympathy from the court and her employer.

“I know what I did was wrong and I beg for leniency from the court. I beg my employer to forgive me as well.”

“Please be lenient with me so I can take care of my grandmother who needs me. I don’t want to go to jail,” said Sibanda.

She told the court she was forced to drop out of school because she found the lessons difficult.

The magistrate asked her what she planned to do with her life and Sibanda said going back to school was out of the question as she is not academically gifted.

“Your worship I only want to work. I cannot go back to school because I’m very dull”, said Sibanda.

Prosecuting, Prisca Kanhukamwe told the court that on June 13 this year at around 12 AM, Sibanda was playing with the boy, his brother and their niece who was sitting on the bed.

The court heard that Sibanda took the boy and removed his trousers. She also removed her black leggings and panties and got under the blankets with the boy.

“The accused then put the boy on top of her while she lay facing upwards and she inserted the boy’s manhood inside her genitalia”, said Kanhukamwe.

The matter came to light when the boy’s brother told their mother that Sibanda had done a despicable act with his younger brother under the blankets, the court heard.

The boy’s mother reported the matter to the police, leading to Sibanda’s arrest.
