A 36-year-old housemaid has appeared in court on allegations of fondling her employer’s nine-year-old son.
The woman appeared before Harare magistrate Ms Jessy Kufa last week to answer to indecent assault charges.
Prosecutor Mr Nyikadzino Machingura alleges that the crime was committed on an unknown date in December this year. On that day, the Grade Three pupil was at home with the maid, his uncle and two brothers.

It is alleged that they were all sitting in the dinning room when the maid called the nine-year-old to her room.
The court heard that the maid started fondling the minor’s private parts.

It is alleged that when the boy indicated to the maid that he did not like what she was doing, she told him that she had seen bigger male organs than his.

The boy told the gardener of the alleged offence, who later advised his mother.
A report was made to the police, leading to the arrest of the maid.
