A BULAWAYO woman was yesterday ordered to lodge a fresh maintenance application after she failed to provide the exact salary that her estranged husband earns.Vaidah Tswande had dragged to the Maintenance Court Tendayi Kanyamura, whom she claimed was an Econet employee based in Harare, demanding $635 per month for the upkeep of their 13 year old daughter.

Magistrate Vivian Ndlovu ordered Tswande to bring confirmation that Kanyamura received the summons she sent by courier service.

The magistrate also ordered her to include in the fresh maintainance application the exact amount Kanyamura earns.

Magistrate Ndlovu moved the matter to August 31.

Tswande wanted a default judgment after Kanyamura failed to appear in court.

She however could not tell the magistrate how much Kanyamura earns.

“I sent him summons through DHL’s courier service last month. I’m not sure how much he earns nor do I know what position he holds at Econet. I’m still to receive confirmation as to whether he received the summons,” said Tswande.

Tswande was also ordered to review her list of expenses as she had listed $270 monthly school fees instead of listing it per school term.
