SOUTH African songstress Patricia Majalisa is in the country and will perform in Victoria Falls tomorrow and in Bulawayo on Saturday.
In Victoria Falls her show will be held at Chinotimba Stadium and on Saturday she will be at Amphitheatre in Bulawayo. Majalisa arrived in the country on Monday and on Tuesday she held a press conference meant to assure the public that her shows are on as scheduled.

Her shows come a month after her ex-husband, Dan Tshanda who was scheduled to hold shows in the country, cancelled the shows at the last minute. In an interview, show organiser John Kafuta said all was set for Majalisa’s two shows.

“We have done all the required paper work and all is set for the two shows. Majalisa is already here and we are just putting final touches to the show venues,” he said.

Kafuta said Majalisa will be afforded an opportunity to meet her fans before each of the shows.
“Majalisa is here by public demand and we are doing all within our powers to ensure the two shows are a success.” he said.
Kafuta said Majalisa will be launching her album Siyawa Siyawa for the first time in Zimbabwe.

He said Majalisa will be backed by fellow South African singers who include Mpendulo “General” Dandile, Silindile, Gregory Ncube, Thabile Mazohwane and George Mbewe.

Majalisa, who is not new  to the City of Kings said she will dig deep into her bag of old tunes and play songs that have always been popular with local fans.

“Music fans should come in their numbers as we have a lot of new songs that they will sample at the shows,” she said.
Majalisa started her career more than 25 years ago with Dan Tshanda as part of Dalom Kids.

She has since gone solo and her music has a huge following especially in Bulawayo’s high density suburbs and Matabeleland region in general.
