Major shake up expected at FC Platinum

According to sources, authorities at the giant platinum mining company are looking to bring in new faces to administer the ambitious club which showed promise in their maiden season.

FC Platinum finished the 2011 season on second position but their last season’s performance was pathetic and the powers that be at the club believe that new management can lead the club to greater heights.

FC Platinum participated in the champions League and last season they brought their first silverware to their cabinet when they lifted the Bob 88 Super Cup and the Independence Trophy

The Premiership’s board member finance Thadson Zhou is likely to be affected by the winds of changing blowing at the club. Zhou is currently chairman at FC Platinum and is likely to be replaced by Dumisani Sisale according to sources.

Another executive member who is on his way out is the secretary-general and club spokesman Philimon Muvengwa who           has been relegated to a non-influential role of managing the bars of the flamboyant club as the new business and development officer.

Benson Wirimai who was the protocol officer has been elevated to the secretary-general position previously held by Muvengwa while Petros Ngorima replaces Elton Nyoka as the club’s treasurer.

Smartfin Techu is tippd to be the club’s protocol officer with Rodwell Mazambara and Lloyd Shirichena being committee members.

The FC Platinum president George Mawere however denied that a new executive had been ushered in.

“The executive appointments are not done here but in Harare and we hope to have a new committee will be put in place by the end of the month. It is something we are working on and once we have finished we will inform you and whatever you might have heard could be just rumours,” said Mawere.
