graduation and ordination ceremony in Chitungwiza recently, Prophet Makandiwa took the opportunity to “thank” the media for marketing his vision through the many negative stories that the papers carried about him and the ministry.
Amidst deafening cheers, Prophet Makandiwa said “Allow me to also take this opportunity to appreciate our secular media, the newspapers, for the great job and service of marketing this great vision”.
Emphasizing the ironic effect that the attacks he got in the media had on the propagation of his messages and the UFIC vision, Prophet Makandiwa revealed that his ministry was served a million-dollar burden of marketing his message by the unintentional effect that the media attacks had on the ministry.
“The marketing of this vision was something that could have cost us millions of dollars but I really want to thank God that these precious people I have mentioned to you were so generous to market us for free,” he told the congregants amidst clapping of hands.
He was, however, clear that although the various media attacks had the positive ironic effect of marketing the church, the people behind them were bent on destroying the same vision they ended up inadvertently marketing.
