MAKATE HIGH-FLYERS LOSE 14-MATCH UNBEATEN RUN

LEADERS in the Nedbank Premier Netball League, Makate High-Flyers, had their 14-match unbeaten run checked by Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) Queens in Aspindale on Saturday.

The army team had to summon all their experience and play their ‘A’ game.

ZDF beat Makate 40-36 in a match described by league spokesperson, Innocent Ndiya, as exciting.

The army team went on to win another match 80-29 against the hosts Aspindale Queens.

It was a bad day on the courts for Aspindale as they were also beaten by visiting Chapungu 79-23.

Makate edged Chapungu 44-42.

Tanaka Makusha, the ZDF keeper, was adjudged the best player of the bubble.

ZDF Queens 40 – 36 Makate Higher Fliers
