MAKE OR BREAK!!

A closer look at the remaining fixtures for the top three teams reveals an interesting fact.

All the three title chasing clubs a FC Platinum, Caps United and Highlanders a have not won at Ascot since 2014 when Chapungu returned to the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League. And the trio is set to visit Ascot Stadium.

Nyikadzino is ready for the title contenders.

a?Chapungu will not do anyone favours because we are playing for ourselves. We really donat care who wins the title,a? said Nyikadzino.

Highlanders
While their title rivals a FC Platinum and Caps United a are left with three away fixtures each, Bosso will travel out of Bulawayo twice with ties against Chapungu and FC Platinum in Weeks 26 and 29 respectively.

Coach Erol Akbay is under no illusion of the tough job ahead in his quest for a maiden league title since joining the Bulawayo giants at the beginning of the year.

Three home fixtures against Bulawayo City, Tsholotsho FC and Hwange shouldnat give the Dutch coach sleepless nights.

Caps United
If away record statistics are anything to go by then Caps United are in trouble.

Since the beginning of the season, Makepekepe have only managed five away wins beating Dynamos 1-0 at Rufaro in Week Four, a 2-1 victory over Chicken at Luveve Stadium in the first half of the season and another 2-0 win over Mutare City at Sakubva.

The other wins were courtesy of a 1-0 over Tsholotsho FC and the most recent being a 2-1 victory away to Triangle United at Gibbo Stadium.

FC Platinum
The Norman Mapeza coached side has an impressive away record winning seven times on the road.

They travel to Harare City on Saturday to face Moses Chunga and his men needing nothing short of a victory.

League titles are won by beating oneas closest rivals and Mapeza will be looking to do just that in Week 29 of the league fixtures with a date against Highlanders at Mandava Stadium. FC Platinum close the season with a tricky away tie against Chapungu, a team they have not beaten since 2014.
