AUSTRALIAN-based versatile musician Makhosini Dominic Nkomo aka Makhoe Drey is set to stage his first ever performance in the country this December.

The show is set to be held in Bulawayo at a venue and date yet to be unveiled.

Speaking from his foreign base, Makhoe Drey who last year collaborated with Big Zulu said the gig was inspired by the need for him to be in touch with the local fan base.

“The show came about after releasing that I’ve never performed in any parts of the world except Australia. A number of people in Zimbabwe have expressed interest in seeing me perform live and I’ll be doing that just for them in December.

“My first stop will be in Bulawayo before I head to South Africa where I’ll meet Big Zulu for the shooting of our music video for the song, Emazweni,” he said.

Makhoe Drey said the Bulawayo show will be a free event so it will be a great start to introduce himself to the people of Bulawayo.

He said on Saturday, he will be releasing his debut album titled INdandatho which features artistes that include Big Zulu, Fish F Ndaramu, Scarrah, Njabulo RSA and Spanchi Omnyama.

“The album has tracks, namely, INdandatho intro, iMama, Wena Wedwa (remix), iSimathatha, Ekhaya, Emazweni featuring Big Zulu, Mandipa, iSmomondiya featuring Njabulo RSA, iSponono Sami, Lala Ngokuthula, iSncamncense, Woza featuring Fish F Ndaramu, Ngizoba Nawe, Romeo and Juliet, Mudiwa Wangu, Udali Wami and Kabazi Dali.

“The album will be available on all digital platforms,” said Makhoe Drey. – @mthabisi_mthire
