After changing from being a mere project manager at Sony Music to being a prolific and much adored celebrity blogger in America, Makho holds the world in the palm of her hands.
Driven by adventure, Makho has finally made one of her biggest breakthroughs in the industry, of course after short stints with a couple of high profile media organisations such as Global Grind.

Today as she exchanges vows with her boo, Carl Hlazo, who is also United States based, they celebrate not only their love but Makho’s achievement in being selected to be (Black Entertainment Television) BET Africa US correspondent.
The BET awards were established by the Black Entertainment Television network to celebrate African Americans and other minorities in music, acting, sports and other fields of entertainment over the past year.
Unable to contain her excitement Makho, sent a WhatsApp message after this reporter had sent her a congratulatory message on her latest accomplishment.
“Congrats on the appointment, wonderful gift for your wedding.”
Makho responded, “It is!!! Thank you. That’s what I was writing you about. So tomorrow I am interviewing Richard Soko. You know him right? Zimbabwean producer, he did Beyoncé’s Drunk in Love.”
“So late last week I was busy minding my business, planning my wedding when I got the call from BET Africa to work on the 2015 BET Awards. My Momma didn’t raise no fool so I immediately jumped at the opportunity to host the red carpet for BET Africa.
“This was a dream come true for me, getting to work with one of the top networks in the game was just absolutely mind-blowing. In LA, the show I was hosting was a joint venture with BET and Hunters taking a few lucky contest winners around the city and showing them the LA sights and of course introducing them to celebs. This was really and truly the experience of a lifetime.”
On the day of her selection she posted on her Facebook: “My friends! Got some GREAT news!! Your girl is BET Africa’s US Correspondent!!!!!! I have been waiting on this opportunity for forever & a lifetime. Currently in LA filming a show called BET & Hunter Experience. I will be posting pics all weekend long. Yesssssss!!! A special thank you to the @BET_Africa team and @taponeswa ?#ýAllLove”
Born in Zimbabwe and raised in USA – Indiana but now living in New York, Makho has really carved a name for herself in the industry.
Perhaps starting a talk show wouldn’t be such a bad idea for her.
