SPAIN’s most glamorous supporter is a former Premier League WAG-turned celebrity boxing star.
Marta Diaz, 25, is an influencer who always shared a close connection with elite sport.
The content creator boasts a massive 7.2million followers on TikTok, and another 3.6million on Instagram. She primarily uploads Spanish-language lifestyle videos on TikTok, and has collaborated with global stars like Mr Beast.
While her Instagram features snaps of her glitzy everyday life, including some bold fashion choices and workout fits.
But she will be best known by fans in England for her relationship as a Wag to a former Tottenham and Manchester United star.
She dated Spanish international Sergio Reguilon from 2019 to 2023, having met while he was playing for her beloved Real Madrid.
She stuck by him as he began a spell of brief stints at a number of clubs, including Sevilla, Spurs, Atletico Madrid and United.
And though that relationship is over, Diaz still regularly shares her love of sport on her media channels. The star — who has her own Amazon Prime Docuseries — is a common feature at Madrid games, stunning in cropped versions of the team’s stylish kits.
She was even present for Spain‘s Euros glory over England in 2024, writing on social media “It’s been one of the most exciting experiences of my life.” And it’s not just football that has captured her attention, as she has found a new interest in American Football, lending her support to the NFL‘s New England Patriots and the Miami Dolphins in recent months.
It would not be a surprise to see her continuing her jet-setting lifestyle by returning to the US to support Spain at the World Cup.
That is if her travels do not get in the way of her preparations as she looks to make her boxing debut. She is joining the trend of internet personalities dipping their toe into combat sports, and is scheduled to fight fellow influencer Tatiana Kaer in July. The fight will be held at the 70,000-capacity La Cartuja in Seville on July 25th, a week after the World Cup final. Diaz has shared videos of her training for the event with former Olympic boxer-turned-actor Jonathan Alonso.
A win in the contest could cap off a very exciting seven days should Spain recapture their Euros winning form and bring home yet more silverware.—Sun.
