She previously made headlines after completing her very first book at the age of 17 and she rocks it again with a new complete anthology.
Makomborero Nhau is an 18 -year-old writer from Kuwadzana Extension who became popular after completing her first book “Profused Feelings”.
Financial constraints have made it difficult for the young author to launch her first book, which did not deter her from writing more.
Makomborero recently completed an anthology “Random Thoughts” which is a compilation of 50 poems.
“‘Random Thoughts’ is just a compilation of many different poems , I’m that one type of a writer who gets inspired all of a sudden and just write down what’s on my mind.”
Makomborero believes that in those moments of peace and quietness, people think a lot and for her, she just puts her thoughts on paper.
The writer now has two books waiting for publication and still keeps working on more stories and poems.
“The challenges I may face in my journey as a writer cannot and never be enough to demotivate me from writing, because writing is a part of me.”
Among other things, the young lady has been facing financial constraints to cater for her education as well.
“I managed to raise a few dollars by selling some copies of ‘Profused Feelings’ that I used to register and write my O Level exams, but still can’t collect the results because I still owe the school,” said Makomborero
Currently, the young lady is not enrolled in Lower Six since she hasn’t collected her O Level results which she passed with flying colours.
Such talent as that of Makomborero is rare to find in the country and world at large, the inspiration itself is unique in showing how resilient the young lady is.
Makomborero has been writing and compiling poems for “Random Thoughts” for the past eleven months.
“I have been working a lot to come up with the anthology, I would just start writing down the meaningful thoughts in my mind until I finished all the pages in my counter book.”
She completed her first book back in 2021 whilst she was already working on the other project, the anthology.
“To all the young people who aspire to be writers, you should just keep on working, one day something may come your way. Instead of focusing on the negative energy, put all your focus towards the positive energy” said Makomborero
