BLACK Mambas and Chegutu Pirates’ championship credentials will be put to test in the Ruyamuro Northern Region Division One Soccer League this afternoon.

Mambas will be expected to put their title campaign back on track with a win against MWOS at Morris Depot as Chegutu Pirates will be in a Mashonaland derby against Omnia.

Black Mambas’ boat was rocked by a 1-0 defeat to Herentals U-20 last weekend which allowed Chegutu Pirates to move within four points with three matches remaining before the end of the season.

“Warumwa Warumwa” coach John “Toto” Ncube believes his players are not going to let the championship title slip away.

“It’s a tight match. Not only that MWOS are a good side but they also want to finish the season on a high and for us, we want to win to maintain a healthy lead going into the last matches of the season, “ Ncube said.

MWOS are promising not to make it pleasant for Black Mambas either as they are also looking at finishing the season strongly in their maiden year.

MWOS coach Lloyd Mutasa said they are not taking their foot off the pedal as they want to finish as high up the table as they can.

“Mambas are a good side and they want to win the league so we know they will come at us with all they have. But we won’t make it easy for them. We are going to Morris Depot to take all the points. That’s our aim,” said Mutasa. Come Again have a date against Golden Eagles at Rimuka stadium on Monday.
