A MAN is accusing his neighbour of breaking into his house.
Washington Nyamutovera claims Evans Munopfukutwa broke into his house, after a dispute over a US$15 debt, and stealing US$85, an inventor and groceries worth US$440.
The duo appeared before the Mbare magistrate court.
“I believe it was the accused because he was the last person whom I invited to my house before the burglary took place and I owed him money.
“Two days after the burglary occurred, I saw the accused selling groceries, including cooking oil and bathing soap, and it raised my suspicions.”
In response, the accused admitted that he had done construction work for the complainant and was not paid for it.
He said he used to sell groceries before the incident happened.
“After the burglary of his house, he came to my house with a number of people and accused me of theft but they recovered nothing from my house.”
