Man attacks wife with hammer

A JAMBEZI man has appeared in court charged with physical abuse after he used a hammer to assault his wife resulting in her sustaining head injuries.

A misunderstanding ensued after the wife told the accused that she wanted to visit her family.

The two started fighting and the wife grabbed the accused’s privates and he retaliated by striking her with a hammer, Victoria Falls magistrate Ms Rangarirai Gakanje heard yesterday.

Buyalani Ncube (47) of Chenje village who is facing charges of physical abuse, has pleaded guilty.

He was remanded in custody to today for judgment.
