A man from Lobengula Extension in Bulawayo reportedly brought his girlfriend home to stay with his family before he subsequently chased his wifeA from the bedroom.

This was revealed at the Bulawayo Civil Court where Patience Dube was seeking a peace order against her husbandas girlfriend Pretty Ncube.

Dube said her husbandas mistress wasA in the habit of mocking her saying she was a?uselessa? as her husbandA no longer slept with her.

She further said Ncube was also verbally and physically assaulting her in front of her children.

a?Pretty Ncube is my husbandas girlfriend and we are now staying together in the same house after my husband brought her home.

a?Pretty is violent as she is always insulting and assaulting me in the presence of my children, the latest incident being on 4 June when she assaulted me as punishment for claiming maintenance from my husband.

a?There is no longer peace in the house as she is also mocking me saying I am of no use as I am no longer sleeping with my husband,a? said Dube.

In response, Ncube said she was married to the same man Dube claimed was hers.

a?We are married to the same man she is claiming is her husband. I have two children with that man and she has four.

a?I got married to him before we started staying together at his house in May this year.

a?On the day she claims I beat her up, we actually fought. In fact, she is the one who is insulting me together with my husband,a? responded Ncube.

In her ruling presiding magistrate Adelaide Mbeure, however, ordered both parties to keep peace by not verbally and physically assaulting each other. .
