Man burns hut after finding wife in bed with lover, arrested

An Inyathi mana��s arson attack on his police friend who was having sex with his wife landed him behind bars.

Freedom Moyo (43) got home from a beer drink at Inyathi business centre and found his wife Nombulelo Ndlovu (39) having sex with Patrick Juba (42).

One fist landed on Jubaa��s face but he managed to escape before a second blow landed.

Moyo followed Juba to his homestead and thought he had entered his bedroom hut and without thinking twice he set the bedroom hut on fire.

The hut was razed destroying property worth $950. Juba was not inside.

Noticing that he had missed his target, he fled from the scene tactically but villagers apprehended him and took him to the police.

He appeared before Lupane resident magistrate Temba Chimiso facing a charge of malicious damage to property.

Moyo pleaded guilty to the charge and was sentenced to 36 months imprisonment of which 12 months was suspended on condition that he restitutes Juba $950 by 31 December.
