Man caught pants down – with donkey

Beitbridge Bureau
AN 18-year-old man was yesterday jailed for six months after he was caught being intimate with a donkey at a dumpsite in Beitbridge. The man tried to bribe the owner of the donkey with R20 to buy his silence.

Munashe Chigombe, of no fixed abode, was convicted on his own plea of guilty when he appeared before Beitbridge magistrate Miss Gloria Takundwa.

Miss Takundwa slapped Chigombe with a 10-month sentence but suspended four.

Prosecutor Mr Jabulani Mberesi told the court that on April 25 the accused went to a bush near Dulibadzimu dumpsite where he found donkeys grazing.

He was spotted by one Thomas Moyo who was looking for his donkeys.

Moyo monitored Chigombe from a distance.

Chigombe suddenly started having sexual intercourse with one of the donkeys.

When Moyo confronted him, Chigombe offered him R20.

Moyo declined the bribe and alerted community members who effected a citizen’s arrest on Chigombe.
