POLICE are hunting for a man from Fort Rixon who allegedly chased after his wife with an axe and chopped her to death, during a dispute over an undisclosed issue.

Matabeleland South police spokesperson Inspector Loveness Mangena confirmed the incident and decried deaths that arise from petty squabbles.

She said the woman fled from the home and her husband, Mandla Ngulube (34) from Phuthuma Village, pursued her with an axe and attacked her leading to her death.

“It’s worrisome that we continue to record murder cases emanating from small issues. We urge members of the public to respect the sanctity of life. People should find amicable ways of resolving disputes instead of resorting to violence,” she said.
