A HARARE man told a court in the capital that he has been having an adulterous affair and he now feared for his life.
He is now accusing his girlfriend’s husband of verbal and physical abuse.
Tapiwa Hatinei told the court that his girlfriend’s husband, Fredrick Chidhuro, has been assaulting him and sending people to insult him.
Magistrate Tamara Chibindi dismissed the matter due to lack of evidence.
“When he found out I was sleeping with his wife, he sent his friends to insult me and assault me.
“I am now scared for my life l have no peace, they even threatened to kill me,” Hatinei said.
Chidhuro denied the accusations saying he had never seen or had a conversation with him. Rather, he told his wife’s relatives to deal with the matter because he was scared to end up behind bars if he took matters into his own hands.
“He is messing around with my wife and I never said anything because l have a bad temper but he keeps on poking me.
“The worst part is that he is pressing charges against me when l should be the one who should be the complainant.
“l told my wife’s relatives what was going on because l was going to kill him and end up behind bars,” Chidhuro said.
