A HARARE man surprised the court when he said, his ex-wife denies him conjugal rights.
Lovemore Munyamani made the revelations at the Harare Civil Court where he was seeking a protection order against his ex-wife, Pauline Mwapfuka, accusing her of verbally and emotionally abusing him.
He told the court that Pauline is influencing their daughter negatively.
“She denies me my conjugal rights whenever she visits us and now my daughter comes home late and insults me because of what her mother tells her.”
Pauline said she only visits his place when called to come see their daughter.
She told the court that whenever she calls her daughter, she tells her not to fight with her father, but Lovemore thinks she is teaching her bad morals.
“I just want to take my property which l left when we separated. Our daughter used to be daddy’s girl, but l don’t know what happened, now they fight all the time,” she said.
Magistrate Tamara Chibindi dismissed the application due to lack of merit.
“In your summons you wrote that she beats you up, but you never said anything about it in this court and why do you demand conjugal rights when you have separated,” magistrate Chibindi said.
