Man desperately searching for son one year later

A Harare man is fast losing hope of ever seeing his son again one year after his ex-wife disappeared with him.

Precious Nemutambwe said he still had no clue where his eight-year-old son could be after his ex-wife, Miriam Ziramba, disappeared with him in July last year.

“I am losing hope now, as there have been no leads. It’s difficult for me to live without knowing where my son is.

“I hope this woman will one day show me my son,” he said.

“My son is alive and this woman is just fixing me. I pray that God will hear my prayer and help me find my son.”

Nemutambwe is urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of his son to come forward and help bring him home.

He is also calling on the Government to do more in cases of child abductions and to put measures in place to ensure that parents do not have to suffer like he is suffering.

“This is a painful experience. No parent should have to go through this. My heart aches every day, not knowing where my son is or how he is doing.

“I am calling on the Government to do more to protect children and to ensure that parents are not separated from their children unlawfully.

“I am also urging anyone with information on my son’s whereabouts to come forward and help me find him,” he said.

Ziramba was found in contempt of court in December last year after High Court judge, Justice Neville Wamambo, granted a provisional order barring her from leaving the country with the child under HC5780/22, with reference number HC3029/22.

She is still wanted for contempt of court and child abduction.
