adminA man has died a violent death — after his pet “goblin” was reportedly destroyed by a traditional healer.
Punish Mhlanga, 72, is said to have begun vomiting blood after the destruction of the unidentified creature.He died around 15 minutes later.
His mysterious death took place in Mhondombori, about 25km outside Zvishavane.
The victim’s family is understood to have sought the services of the witch doctor after they came to suspect their neighbours were responsible for causing his illness.
Events then took a tragic turn when the healer reportedly claimed Mhlanga’s illness was of his own making — and that it was impossible to heal him unless the goblin was removed.
He warned this would lead to the victim’s death and, according to the deceased’s wife Sylivia, this happened 15 minutes later. — AFP
