Man dumps wife for niece

A 40-YEAR-OLD man shocked a court yesterday when he told the magistrate that he was sexually attracted to his niece, a Form Two pupil at Empandeni High School, rather than his wife. Wililani Ncube of the Sanzukwi area in Mangwe District told Plumtree magistrate, Livard Philimon, that he was more attracted to his niece and intended to marry her to replace his wife.

Ncube appeared in court facing charges of indecent assault. The court heard accounts of how on June 20 last year, Ncube summoned the juvenile who was in Form 1 at the time into his car while she was in school.

He invited her to sit on his lap before pulling out his manhood and inviting his niece to lift up her uniform and sit on his manhood.
Ncube stayed with her in that position for a short while before releasing her.

Prosecuting, Stanley Chinyanganya said Ncube arrived at the school under the pretext of delivering an urgent message to his niece.
Charged the prosecutor: “Ncube arrived at Empandeni High School on June 20 last year and requested to see his niece who was in Form 1 at the time as he had an urgent message for her. He led her to his car, which was parked outside.

“While they were there he pulled out his male organ which was erect and ordered his niece to sit on it. After a while he let her go and warned her not to report the incident to anyone. The juvenile later reported the matter to her parents who made a report to the police.”
Ncube, who pleaded guilty to charges of indecent assault, told the court that he was sexually attracted to his niece.

“I’m in love with my niece and that’s why I did what I did. She is an attractive girl and my intention is to marry her because I am no longer attracted to my wife and I wish to replace her,” Ncube said.

“The purpose of my visit to the school that particular day was to visit my niece because I was missing her.”
Magistrate Philimon condemned Ncube’s behaviour and told him to be mature and keep his sexual desires in check.
He said Ncube deserved a heavy sentence but the court had exercised its leniency after considering his family.

Ncube was sentenced to 12 months in prison, but three were conditionally suspended.
