Edwin was promised two vehicles and paid a deposit of US$3900.
Patrick lost the US$4000 he deposited for a Toyota Hilux he was promised.
Harare provincial police spokesperson, Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, confirmed the cases saying Forichi is facing fraud charges and is in custody.
“Police are investigating fraud cases where eight people lost a total of US$34 700.
“The complainants were duped by the accused, who is their workmate.
“The accused person was reported to have received cash and part of the money deposited in his bank account promising to supply them with vehicles,” said Insp Chakanza.
