A BULAWAYO man starved of affection faked suicide to get his wifeas attention.
Mandla Nyoni (50) says he discovered that his wife was in love with a man called Felix whom she didnat want to dump because he had money.
a?I found love messages and pictures she exchanged with Felix. I forgave her and hoped for the better,a? he said.
The wife Daina Mato (40) is alleged to have refused to delete the pictures because Felix was a rich businessman.
a?When I asked her why she kept them (pictures) she said she didnat want to lose her friend because he was a businessman with money,a? he added.
Because of the inquiries, Nyoni said his wife of 16 years decided to move out of their bedroom.
He thought it was for only one night but she decided to move into their childrenas bedroom.
There was one way to test how deep Matoas love was for her husband and he pulled a fast one.
a?I faked suicide to determine whether she still loves me,a? he said.
Mato is said to have played happy couples for a few weeks but later returned to her alleged bad ways. She told him she was leaving.
a?She told me that I was abusing her and our marriage was a torture that is why she had to leave,a? he added.
Despite her estranged husband pouring his heart out, Mato dismissed him as a mad man.
a?I think he is mad,a? she said.
The two no longer stay together.
