THE body of a Kadoma man, who was wanted for allegedly murdering his wife, has been found in a state of decomposition, two months after the incident.
Ackim Mabeka disappeared in April after allegedly killing his wife Constance Shawano.
His body was found on Monday in Chegutu. The couple had been married for four months, after a lobola ceremony was held in December last year. Constance’s body was found on April 11, in a state of decomposition, inside their house.
Neighbours had to break the door to gain entry. The couple was staying at Constance’s rented house.
“Police found his body yesterday in Chegutu, near Railways. It seems like he died some time ago since the body had decomposed. Police advised the relatives, confirming they had found Ackim’s body.
“They also found two phones, one belonging to him and the other belonging to Constance,” said a close relative.
Another source said: “Taingonzwa nevanhu kuti arikungodzungaira muChegutu, and when he killed his wife, he took her clothes to the sangoma kuvhara nyaya yake.
“Killing someone will never just end like that, it will haunt you forever. So, I suspect, it had been haunting him until he committed suicide.”
