A 33-YEAR-OLD man from Emakhandeni suburb in Bulawayo appeared in court facing attempted murder charges after he stabbed his victim following a car accident.

Makhosini Marume is alleged to have stabbed Nigel Bhebhe (25) from Compensation House in Bulawayo following the car accident.

Marume appeared before magistrate Nomagugu Maphosa and was remanded out of custody to 6 June on $5  000 bail.

Prosecutor Mr Owen Mugari told the court that on 17 April at around 8pm the car in which Marume was a passenger hit Bhebhe’s car from behind at the Coghlan Road and Cecil Avenue traffic lights.

The driver of the car (who was not named in court) did not stop and drove off along Cecil Avenue.

The victim followed him and blocked his car near the National University of Science and Technology main gate.
