Man in court for ‘sodomising’ two boys

A 54-year-old man from Mbembesi, Bubi District, has appeared in court facing two counts of aggravated indecent assault after he allegedly sodomised two 16-year-old boys in one night.

Bongani Mpengesi of Mantanjeni Village, under Chief Ndondo, pleaded not guilty to the charges when he appeared before Bulawayo regional magistrate Mr Taurai Manwere on Monday.

He was remanded in custody until today for the continuation of the trial.
Prosecuting, Mr Jethro Madatold the court that the crime occurred in February 2026.

During the period, the accused allegedly requested his cousin, who is the first complainant, and the cousin’s friend, the second complainant, to prepare supper for him, and they complied.

The court heard that the accused person then persuaded the two juveniles to spend the night at his homestead and they complied.

During the night, the accused ordered the complainants to take off their clothes.
“The accused thereby had anal sexual intercourse with the complainant without his consent,” said Mr Mada.

The court heard that after assaulting the first complainant, he allegedly went on to have anal sexual intercourse with the second complainant, who is his neighbour, without his consent.

The matter was reported to the police, leading to the arrest of the accused. The two juveniles were referred to the hospital for medical examinations, and the medical reports will be produced in court as proof.
