A 21-year-old Cold Comfort man has invented a unique gas-powered generator and is looking for assistance to further develop his idea.
In an interview with H-Metro, Lashimode Matimura said he came up with the idea at the height of power outages.
“The idea is to try and reduce the cost of electricity. The machine powers household appliances like the TV, fridge and stove.
“It is portable and can work throughout the day because it charges itself.
“It is advantageous, especially in rural areas, where there might be no power at all,” he said.
Matimura said his innovative gas-powered generator has the potential to revolutionise the energy industry, particularly in areas with unreliable or no access to electricity.
He said financial constraints are limiting his ability to bring his ideas to fruition.
He believes assistance and partnerships from sponsors and companies could help him turn his vision into reality, benefiting millions of people who struggle with power outages.
