A 49 –YEAR- OLD man from Honde valley dragged an 11year old girl into a bush and raped her.
He was arrested while escorting to her home after the cruel deed.
In a statement on X, police said on 10 April 2024 at around 5:45 the complainant was sent by her mother to her mother’s friend in the same village. While on her way, she met the accused person, who fondled her breasts before dragging her to a nearby bush where he raped her.
After the incident, the complainant got dressed and headed home, while the accused person followed closely behind. Along the way, she met some villagers who noticed that she was shivering and her clothes were soiled. They asked her what was wrong and she revealed what had happened. They immediately effected a citizens’ arrest. The matter was reported to the police.
The accused person will serve 17 years imprisonment.
