A GARDENER RAPED his employer’s 12-year-old younger sister twice on the same day at knife point, has been jailed for 17 years.
In a statement on X, the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) said the accused person worked at the complainant’s brother’s homestead as a part-time gardener. In December 2023 at around 8am the complainant was on her way to her brother’s house when she met the accused person herding cattle.
“He asked the complainant to help him herd the cattle and lured her to the garden, where he raped her once. In the afternoon of the same day the accused person raped the complainant again at knife point. He also raped her on 21 April when she had been left alone at home”.
“The accused person was sentenced to 17 years imprisonment,” said the NPAZ.
