Man jailed for having sexual relations with minor

A Tsholotsho man has been sentenced to an effective 20 months in prison for having sexual relations with a minor.

The 21-year-old man was arraigned before the Tsholotsho Magistrates” Court for having sexual intercourse with a child.

He was sentenced to 24 months of which 4 months were suspended for 5 years. The man was found guilty of having sex with a child aged 14 on two occasions.

The matter came to light when the child got pregnant.
