Man killed for stealing a goat

Seven suspects have been arrested in Madlambuzi, Plumtree on allegations of killing a 54-year-old man they had accused of stealing a goat.
The goat belonged to one of the suspects, Qiniso Ncube (38). The other suspects are Honest Sola, Justin Nkomo (60), Malcom Sichelo Nube (24), Mayibongwe Nyathi (27), Lyton Ncube (28) and Mulu Nyathi (20) in connection with the murder case which occurred at Ndolwane Village in Madlambuzi on August 19.

The victim Soza Dube was found dead in a bedroom five days later after the assault. National police spokesperson Commissioner Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.

“The suspects took turns to assault the victim Soza Dube aged 54 with switches all over the body after accusing him of stealing a goat belonging to Qiniso Ncube. The victim was found dead in a bedroom on August 24, 2024,” he said.

In another incident, police in Mberengwa are appealing for information which may lead to the arrest of Clear Msipa who is wanted in connection with a murder that occurred at Shauro Business Centre on August 26.

The suspect fatally stabbed Knowledge Moyo (34) with a knife after accusing him of having an affair with his wife.

Meanwhile, another suspect, Jacob Sigudu is wanted in connection with a murder that occurred at Midwaters 20, Mine, Zaka on August 26, where Peterson Machinjike (41) died after being stabbed with a knife on the leg following a dispute over gold ore.
