when he appeared before Chitungwiza magistrate Mr Kudakwashe Jarabini.
Mr Jarabini remanded him in custody to October 29 and advised him to seek bail at the High Court.
The now deceased Tonderai Mukanya was once taken to court for allegedly assaulting Nhevera, but was acquitted on grounds that they exchanged blows.
According to the indictment papers, Nhevera was once convicted of attempted rape and slapped with a four-year prison term.
It was alleged that on October 5, at the plot, Nhevera came home at around 8:20pm and upon entering the kitchen saw his wife Chipo Vhinyu (24) seated with the boyfriend.
He suspected the two of having an affair and he started assaulting Mukanya with blows.
Mukanya fought back, but was stabbed on the neck with an Okapi knife during the scuffle.
He started bleeding profusely and died on the spot.
After committing the offence, Nhevera allegedly fled to Mhondoro where he was later arrested and was found in possession of the Okapi knife.
