A MAN left his lover sleeping in her bedroom in Kuwadzana and then sneaked into the dining room where he raped her seven-year-old daughter on Saturday.
Leapdie Katiri sneaked out of the blankets, where he was sleeping with his lover in her bedroom, and went to the dining room, where her daughter was asleep.
Leadie raped the daughter and threatened her.
The minor disclosed the rape the following morning when her mother found out that she was unable to relieve herself and writhing in pain. Leadie fled the house when he was confronted by his lover.
Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the case appealing for information that may lead to his arrest.
“Police are investigating a rape case involving a minor.
“The accused person is a boyfriend of the mother of the complainant,” said Insp Chakanza.
