A Harare man has offered his full salary for the upkeep of his family
Febison Shelton had been accused by his wife, Lucia Shelton, of neglecting the family.
Lucia told the court that she was tired of being ill-treated by her husband and demanded US$300.
Febison offered US$165, which is his whole salary.
‘‘I will give her my whole salary since we are staying together and she will manage the money.”
Lucia who said it wasn’t enough, eventually accepted it.
‘‘It is not enough but I will accept it,’’ she said.
Magistrate Ayanda Dhlamini granted the application by consent.
