A 21-year-old Kuwadzana man was on Wednesday arrested for raping his ailing workmate after giving her traditional snuff.
Tanaka Ncube was asked if he could assist his female workmate with medication since she was suffering from a headache.
Tanaka promised to assist with home made remedy.
He led his workmate to his house soon after work at around 8pm.
Upon arriving, he gave her some traditional snuff claiming that it cures headache.The wormkate felt dizzy after consuming the snuff and Tanaka raped her twice without protection.
The workmate informed her boyfriend the following morning leading to the arrest of Tanaka.
Harare provincial police spokesperson Inspector Luckmore Chakanza confirmed the arrest.
“Police arrested a Kuwadzana man for raping his workmate,” said Insp Chakanza.
